Can you answer this question?
Here are some clues to help you...
.

A) My name is Hugo Chavez. I was born in 1954 in a mud hut, the son of two poor school teachers. In 1998, I became the president of my country. My country is one of the richest in South America because of the large amount of oil here.

B) As president, I have tried to make life better for my people and I am mostly popular in my country. But not everyone likes me. I have said harsh things about the Bush administration and they have criticized me for the way I run my country and for getting involved in the business of other countries in South America.

C) Recently, I called for several big changes in my country's constitution. Under the law now, I would not be able to be president after I finish my current term. But my new plan would let me run for president again. It would also give me more power in case of an emergency. Many people in my country marched in the streets both in favor of and against my new plan.

  • What country do I lead?
