Who Am I?

A) I am an American television journalist. I have had a long career working for several different television news programs. I started out as a weather reporter in my home state of Kentucky. In the 1970s, I worked for President Richard Nixon.

B) My big break in television came in 1978, when I was hired by the CBS television network as a political reporter. Since then, I’ve worked for many news programs, including “60 Minutes” and “20/20.” Since 1999, I have been a host of “Good Morning America.”

C) I have been hired to be the next anchor of the ABC television network’s show “World News.” An “anchor” is the host of a news program. I am only the fourth female anchor of an evening network news show.
