I was born 47 years ago in Scotland. Until now, I have been living
a quiet life in my small village, sharing a house with my cat
Pebbles. But I have always dreamed of being a professional singer.
B) Earlier this month, I got
my chance when I appeared on the British reality show "Britain's
Got Talent." When I came out to sing, the crowd laughed
at me because I didn't look the part of a young and glamorous
entertainer. But when I began to sing, the crowd cheered and
rose to its feet.
C) Suddenly, I am famous around
the world. Video clips of my performance have been watched on
YouTube more than 40 million times. I have been interviewed on
a number of shows and there are talks of a record deal. But I
have said that all this fame won't change me. My story has inspired
people around the world to remain true to themselves.
