![]() Click picture to enlarge About 3,000 people took part in the NewsCurrents poll. These graphs show you how four different groups voted in this poll. Twenty percent of the voters in grades 3-5 thought the Iraqis should have control of their country. Sixteen percent of those in grades 6-8, 9 percent in grades 9-12, and 15 percent of older adults agreed that Iraqis should get control of their country now. Only one group, those in grades
3-5, voted more for the U.S. to keep control of Iraq than to
give up control to the U.N. As you can see, most people in the
other three groups most favored transferring authority in Iraq
to the U.N. The older adults were most in favor of this idea.
Nearly half of the middle and high school voters also favored
letting the U.N. take over in Iraq. |
