Being president of the United States is always a very difficult and complicated job, but President-elect Barack Obama faces huge problems in many areas. What do you think are the most important issues facing Mr. Obama? Our nation is still fighting two wars, in Iraq and Afghanistan. Although violence is down in Iraq, it's unclear how long our troops will need to stay. And the situation is getting worse in Afghanistan, where terrorist groups are gaining more power. Do you know anyone who has served, or is serving, in Iraq or Afghanistan? However, most Americans say a different issue is their main concern right now: the economy. As you know, many people have been hurt by recent problems in the economy. Millions of people have lost homes to foreclosures, and millions more are in danger of this. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their jobs, and many older people have seen their retirement funds shrink. How has the economic downturn affected your family? Another big issue is health care. More than 45 million Americans have no health insurance, and costs are going up very fast. And the environment and education are two other very big concerns that Obama referred to in his speech. What would you like to see this president accomplish in his first term?
